What's The Difference Between Being With Jesus?And Being Without Him?

I don't know why am I blogging now...because I have a whole load of work to finish.Since the creative spirit is flowing,the urge is here,then just do it!

Well basically this post is more about me.If you are not interested in reading about me,you may decide to stop reading at this moment.If you are...then let's move on.

It's another Saturday night...family gathering as well.Interestingly tonight,someone seemed to be very angry with me.Why?I don't know,probably he's mad with me for overridding what he said.

But hey,I need to solve a problem.If I had been offensive then I apologise.

And you are wondering now...who is mad with me?What is the problem?And what did he say?

Patience my friend...you shall know in due time.

For the past few months,my uncle found that the money in his bank account did not balance with the amount written in the cheque book.He wanted me to investigate the matter.I went to find out the source of the problem and started a new system for him.

Using the system,we managed to track down every transaction.It seemed to be a robust system.

However,after sometime,I discovered that some transaction were not recorded.Reason be that the bank only sends the statement in the middle of the next month.Sometimes certain transactions were overlooked and that caused the accounts not to balance.

I suggested to my uncle to apply for internet banking so that we can track all the transactions at anytime.Efficency is increased and it's easier for tracking purposes.He told me that my cousin said that it was very risky to do internet banking.

Reason:Someone can hack into your account and create havoc.

My reply was simple..."I will go and figure out the whole thing.Let's see what options we have,then decide if we want to apply for internet banking."My uncle agreed.

After checking out the website and reading the FAQs,I realised that there were 2 types of accounts.First type is an Equiry account.This only allows you to access your account balance and enquiry about other account related information.

The other type is a Transaction Account.This allows you to do money transactions like borrowing money or transfeering funds.It costs $30 per month.For our purposes,we only need an enquiry account.I presented the case to my uncle.He agreed to do it.

But he added "How come your cousin doesn't know about this?".

Damn it,the next thing that will happend is that my cousin is going to get upset with me.In a way,I was overidding what he said.I'm not really concerned about what he thinks about me.I don't give a damn what people think about me.I'm paid to solve problems.

Simple as that.

Indeed,I was right about this matter.My uncle asked me where I wanted to go for dinner,I suggested a new coffee shop that sells "Bak Kut Teh"(Pork Ribs in Soup) that's near my place.They haven't been there before.

When we reached there,after eating,my uncle asked for my cousin's comment on the food.Here's the reply..."If you want my comments,I'll be brutally honest with you...It's terrible!The soup is not up to standard,so is the meat!No standard at all!"

Wow,hear the manager talk...the manager says it sucks.So it must really suck right?Hahaha,I was pretty amused with his comment and his behaviour.I didn't say anything,but continued eating.

Oh yes,forgot to tell you,he's a manager.Why?Read on to find out...

Few weeks ago,my mum told me this..."Hey you know what,your aunt says that your cousin 'heard' from someone in his office that they are going to groom him to become manager."

"Wah really?Hahaha then aunt must be REALLY PROUD.And you can probably see their heads in the air.Hahaha don't forget to say 'Good morning manager' when you see him OK?"Hahahaha
I continued to laugh.

Now I can read your mind,you probably think that I'm belittling him.You probably think that I'm an arrogant asshole who loves belittling people.Let me explain myself...

This family loves to show off.To them they are always the best.It seems that they have the "Midas Touch".Everything they touch will turn to gold.Anything associated to them is the best.My cousin is pretty arrogant nowdays.Could sense it when he talks.

Back to what I was saying...I could sense that he was angry with me for saying that internet banking is workable and that I was able to address my uncle's concerns.To him I was claiming credit.

Now,the next thing you might be wondering is...What has all these got to do with Jesus?

My answer...PLENTY.

Let me explain...

Now,many years back,when I wasn't a Christian,if such things happended,I would flare up and try to lash back.It's my character trait.I don't like it when people try to oppose me or challenge me.If they do that,I'll go all out to fight them till I win.

Fast forward to the present day...Praise Jesus for peace and wisdom.

My enemies were unhappy with me.They try to attack me whenever they can.But here I am,calm and collected.The best part is this...I started to sympathise with them.I never felt this way before.I never felt love towards my enemies.

Praise Jesus.He taught me how to love my enemies.The revelation is this..."When you have love and peace in your heart,no enemy can harm you in any way."

Now,why did I say wisdom?Wisdom because I knew it was not wise to go head on and lash out at someone who doesn't know what he's doing.Why peace?Peace because I was not the least disturbed by his comments.Instead,my mum was very angry.Her comments as follows..."How dare he speak in that manner.Who does he think he is?!"

Hahaha..."We must forgive the ignorant and childish."That was my reply to her.

Now,let me ask you a question...when someone judges you,who is that person?Or rather what right has he to judge you?You don't need anyone to approve of how good you are.

Similarly,who am I to judge others?Who am I to despise them?They don't need my approval to be good.

They are entitled to their opinions.So am I.

But seriously speaking,I'm too busy to bother about what people think of me.I've better things to do that to please everyone.Those who like to judge others are usually people who have nothing.That's why they want to be critical of others.

Throughout my entire life,I never liked to despise others.Because I didn't like people to despise me.(Last time,but not now.)

Now I have shalom peace and wisdom.But most importantly,I have a HEAVENLY FATHER WHO LOVES ME UNCONDITIONALLY.I think that's the most important.If you have received Jesus as Lord and Saviour,you know what I mean.But if you have not,probably now's a good time to do so...

As I'm writing this post,I discovered that he had another new post today.Pretty interesting too.Indeed,it's a year of new beginnings.I had my Nokia N80 handphone already and I believe God is going to bless me with more things.A new girlfriend for instance?

Actually I did something for fun.If you read my friendster profile,there's this Ad asking for applications to be my girlfriend.Hahaha actually it was meant to be for fun,but we'll see who applies.

I'll tell you if I receive any applications.If I don't,that's also fine.Anyway,the time has come for me to start a relationship.I have more free time now as compared to the past 2 years.But then let God choose the best one.

Praise God for my good looks and wisdom.Hahaha I know what you are thinking...I'm pretty thick-skinned to say that I'm good looking right?Well,I'm not ashamed to say,I'm indeed good looking and wise.But that's because God made me so,not myself.It's just God's glory in me that's all.Jesus alone deserves all the glory.

OK,I think we better talk about the main topic now...

I have a question...What causes unanswered prayers?

Yes?Any answers?

Let me share what I have here...


1."God will only bless those who are righteous,I've done so many wrongs,why would God answer my prayer?"

2."What I ask for is too big,how can God answer this kind of prayer?"

3."What I ask for is a selfish desire,will God answer me?"

4."I hope that God will answer my prayer."

5."What if he doesn't answer my prayer?"

6."Does God really care?"

7."I'm really fearful about this...I don't know if God can settle this problem."

8."What will other people think about me if I ask for material things?"


Now,the above 8 responses causes prayers to be unanswered.There may be more,but those are the 8 that came to my mind.Maybe you can think of more?

In short,fear and worry causes prayers to be unanswered.It's not because God doesn't want to bless you.It's not because God is angry with you for doubting Him.Neither is it because your desire is too big.

Let me explain,when we are in fear and worry,we are under the control of the devil.When we are in fear and worry,our level of faith is as weak as a candle flame.It's suspectable to be blown out any moment.

This is where spiritual warfare comes into play.It's where your faith will be tested.The devil will come and tell you 1001 reasons why your prayers cannot be answered.This is the time when you stand up to the devil with the word of God.With the 6 SECRET WORDS,you can slice the devil and make him flee 7 directions from you.

Better pay attention and learn them well...OK?

Let me share my story recently...I've been sick for the past few days,suffering from diarrhoea.It was terrible,I would wake up every half hour to go to the toilet.I kept praying in tongues for healing,but it didn't stop.I woke up at 5 am and the diarrhoea subsided at 10am.

Then thoughts started to come into my mind..."Are you sure these things work?" and "You are a sinner anyway,it's normal to be sick and not be healed.".Indeed,during those moments,the level of your faith comes into play.I refused to give up.Kept praying in tongues and keep believing that "By Jesus' stripes,I am Healed!!!!".

Praise God,things improved.For the next few days,it was better.Today,I'm fully healed!

Another case is about the issue of earning a living...

My brother asked me to help him apply for a place in NUS and NTU.You probably know that I'm a Poly graduate and I didn't want to further my studies.

My reason is simple:Why waste money on a degree that will make you an employee for the rest of your life?Might as well spend on courses that will teach you how to make money.Besides,learn from those who have already been there and done that.

All the while I had been very confident about my decision.I'm starting my Internet Business,my E-book is almost completed.At the same time I'm learning about investment.I know that going to University will not make me a millionaire.

But recently,I seem to be having doubts and fear.I fear that I'll end up like my dad,a good-for-nothing.He didn't want to work because he felt that he was too "good" for the job market.My mum is the one supporting the entire family.It's worth mentioning here that my mum is the best mum in the world.Well,to me at least.

Anyway,back to what I was saying,I was rather fearful about my future.The following thoughts came into my mind..."What if you don't make it?" "How old are you already?Yet you still can't stand on your own feet." "Look at your cousin and brother,they are already quite stable,how about you?"

So on and so forth.Well,it should be obvious that I was under attack by the devil.Being unwell and not in a good mood,I was kind of affected.But Praise God,I broke through this.

Now,I'm going to share my secret with you.Using this secret,you can overcome any doubt and fear.Your faith level will sky rocket.GURANTEED.

What To Do When People Insult You?

Today,I would like to share with you some secrets on how to handle and deflect verbal attacks...

Before I start,I want to wish you a happy new year.2007,it's the year of new beginnings.Hope that you have a wonderful year ahead.

Let's start now...

Have you ever been in this situation?...Someone that you didn't offend keeps trying to run you down with verbal attacks?You were the nice guy,you kept quiet and let the other person "slash" you verbally.

Probably you were at a loss of what to say?Or you were not sure whether you should talk back?Because that person that "attacked" you was someone of higher authority.

I don't know if you were through the same thing as me...But when I was younger,I used to experience a lot of insults from my relatives.Those 2nd aunt,third uncles....you know what I mean...especially during family gatherings.That's why I hated family gatherings.

Now,my usual approach was to keep quiet and not talk back.After all,as asians,our parents taught us that we must respect our elders.I beg to differ from that.My rule is this "RESPECT YOUR ELDERS ONLY IF THEY DESERVED TO BE RESPECTED!"

I may sound arrogant.But that's me.I believe that just by being our elders don't give them the right to be insulting towards us.Especially if we didn't do anything wrong or anything bad towards them.

You may or may not agree with me.But that's fine.

I got very tired of these nonsense.It happends everytime at gatherings.Best part is my parents join in sometimes.I used to go home feeling very hurt and frustrated.I felt helpless...

WHY?WHY MUST I KEEP GETTING "BULLIED"?CAN'T I STAND UP FOR MYSELF?

AT LAST...I got fed up with all these nonsense.I was determined to give these bastards a taste of their own medicine...

I figured out why I was at a loss when they insulted me.Few reasons...

1.I was not prepared.I didn't expect them to insult me.When it happends,my mind was blank,I was not able to respond to them.
2.Fear.Fear of being labelled as a "bad boy" with no manners.Dare not offend those idiotic elders.
3.Lack of experience.Don't know how to be sarcastic back.

Let me share with you how I overcame those 3 problems...


1.I realised that these bastards have a tendency to like to be insulting.So I prepare myself before every gathering.If they try to be funny,I'm able to talk back.

2.I overcame the fear of being labelled as an ill-mannered person.Come to think of it,if they are so respectable,why would they want to be insulting??If they are so insulting,then they are not worth my respect.Agree?It's a fair deal,if they insult me,I talk back sarcastically.If they don't want to receive any insults from me,they shouldn't insult me.

3.The most IMPORTANT point.For a guy who has been inoffensive all his life...it's tough for him to become offensive.Because it's not in his blood.After deciding to put a stop to all these nonsense,I made it a point to learn from my experience.I'll share with you exactly how I did it.

THE 6 SECRETS TO OVERCOMING INSULTS & SARCASM FROM IRRITATING PEOPLE

Secret 1:After every insult,ask yourself this question..."If I was given a chance to repeat the whole scenario again,what will I say to that bastard?"
This is quite an important step.As you learn,you become better.By doing this step,you train your mind up,to think and to respond faster.Trust me,during the first few times,you'll get whacked.But after sometime,you'll be good at reflecting sarcasm and insults.

Secret 2:Get opinions of different people on what they would do,if they were in your shoes.
This is another way to increase your creativity.I have some friends who are really good at being sarcastic.I would give them the scenario and ask them how they'll react.They usually provide me with a lot of ideas and creative ways of "reflective insulting".

Secret 3:NEVER GET ANGRY.
This is the MOST IMPORTANT SECRET.Don't ever get angry.If you get angry,your mind will stop thinking.No matter how intelligent of creative you are,you won't be able to perform.I know it's really difficult,especially after an insult,you are boiling inside.But no matter what,keep cool and calm.Then you can think clearly and hurl back the deadliest insult.

Secret 4:Know who is your opponent.
Now,before you fire,you must know who are you firing at.You don't want to fire at someone who has authority over you,and get into trouble.But based on my experience,usually those who have authority over me don't try all these nonsense on me.
Those that are insulting are usually those who have no authority over me.But at the same time,you must know whether they have backing.
Let me give an example...for my case,Dennis Trident(if you don't know who she is,read my previous entries) has no authority over me.But she has backing of the Pharoah,who has authority over me.So I have to be careful when attacking her.

Secret 5:Have the correct attitude.
You must have the correct attitude when firing back.The main objective is to stop them from trying their nonsense on you again.You don't have to tear their faces(unless of course they ask for it).Even if you lose,don't get angry.Just let it pass and learn from your experience.

Secret 6:Know your standpoint.
Yes,it's important to know where you stand.Don't fire off without thinking.Else you make a fool out of yourself.Importantly,are you in the wrong?Or are they just being nasty?If you are in the wrong,be a gentleman and acknowledge your mistakes.Apologise if necessary.(That's how I do it).But if you are not in the wrong,STAND UP FOR YOURSELF.NEVER BACK DOWN!!
Maintain your position at all times.Your enemies will cause you to fall into guilt,thereby causing you toback down.Don't fall for that.
They'll usually tell you that you should respect your elders no matter what.To me that's nonsense.

OK,let's talk about real life cases...you'll have fun learning about these....

Case 1:
This incident happended.My good friend Christopher was insulted by this bastard from his Poly.It was thru SMS.Let's call that guy W.Here's the conversation...

W:"Hey do you know that XXX who is a gay is looking for you?"

Chris was freaking mad when he received the SMS.I helped him to reply.Here's my reply...

"WHAT?!When did you become gay?Wah,still call me your friend.Such a big thing you didn't inform me.Did you ass break?Don't worry,tell me when you go for surgery,I'll visit you.Remember to SMS me your hospital,ward and bed number ok?"

W was freaking mad when he read my reply.Here's his reply...

W:"Cheebye Wee Kok Weng,say me gay!"

I replied again...

"Hahaha aren't you gay?So how does it feel to get fucked from behind?"

He never replied again.


Case 2:This happended during a Chinese New Year celebration.I forgot which year.But this bastard kept insulting my brother and I.For a few years we kept quiet.Until that time....

Bastard:"Wah,you are damn fat man.Hahaha,so fat,not scared must take IPPT meh?"

Marco:"Yes,I'm living such a good life.I'm rich and prosperous,have plenty to eat and don't need to take any IPPT.I work in air-con,don't need to go outfield.You jealous?"

He shut up immediately.God damn it,I didn't insult him or anything.He kept provoking me.In order to spice things up,I could have added this...
"If I give you face,I call you uncle.If I don't give you face,you are nothing but a dog.I never insulted you,why must you insult me?"(directly translated from cantonese)


Well,those are just 2 examples that I thought about.There are actually more.Ask Chris,he'll tell you how sarcastic I can me.But that's not the point.I used to be very innocent and get insulted without know what to do.

If you are like me last time,I feel for you.If you feel that I'm a rude jerk,then that's your opinion.Just throw away what you read.

But I still stand on what I said.If elders don't know how to earn our respect,we don't have to respect them.Being elders don't give them the fucking right to be insulting when we do nothing wrong.

Remember,stand up for yourself if you are not in the wrong!With that,I wish you a great year ahead.Hope that you'll be able to deflect insults.Just keep learning and gain experience.
